After analyzing many studies made by different state and federal governmental institutions as well as scientific research centers and environmental groups about the need of developing an alternative, stable and safe method for the local shrimp industry, a group of technicians and investors decided to create a company which could meet this need.

We started with the production of shrimp for live bait since sport fishing in Florida is one of the main tourist attraction and the traditional methods used to catch small shrimp for bait can harm and destroy the environment.

American Shrimp, LLC is a company dedicated to the production, development and trade of local species of shrimp. We have the license to operate in the State of Florida and we abide by the Aquaculture Rules and Regulations of the Florida Department of Agriculture.

We have a Hatchery Center located in North Florida for the production of shrimp PLs (post-larvae), which are sold to shrimp Farmers or sent to our Farm, located South Florida, where we grow them and sell them as live bait.
